Ernie Grunfeld

Ernie Grunfeld was a gold medalist at the 1976 Olympics. Ernie Grunfeld, was a 1977 NBA first-round draft pick by the Milwaukee Bucks. Grunfeld played eight seasons with the Bucks, Kings and Knicks.

After retirement, became the Knicks' General Manager with his team winning their division three times and reaching the Finals twice. Grunfeld served as President of the Bucks and Wizards.

While at the University of Tennessee, Ernie became the school's all-time leading scorer and was SEC Player of the Year, consensus All-American in 1977, his number (22) was retired and he is in the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.

Ernie led the USA to a gold medal at the Pan American Games.

Grunfeld, born in Romania, is the only NBA player to be the child of Holocaust survivors.
